Many are saying that Emily Morgan is an actor based in Brooklyn, NY. However, she was born and raised in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and her childhood dream job was to be a mailwoman. She is well known in family circles for having frequently throughout childhood summoned all present members to sit through lengthy sets of entirely improvised pop songs with choreography.

Emily is a graduate of Atlantic Acting School’s Full Time Conservatory and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (B.A., Dramatic Arts and History). During her time at UNC, she studied abroad at the Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin, Ireland. She also served as a producing director for UNC’S Kenan Theater Company and as a company management intern for Playmakers Repertory Company.

Emily is a creative artist dedicated to thoughtful, immersive works that grip audiences from start to finish. Some favorite roles from her training include Lady Macbeth in Macbeth, Gwendolyn in The Importance of Being Earnest, and Apple in indeed, friend! by Eliza Bent.

In her downtime, Emily is an avid movie-goer and proud Film Forum member. Her desert-island films (assuming a DVD player is available) are Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette, Rob Reiner’s When Harry Met Sally, and Stanley Donen’s Charade. She also really, really, really loves The Beatles.

And in case you were wondering: Scorpio sun, Taurus moon, Virgo rising.
